Vilnius – Trakai – Kaunas – Klaipėda – Nida – Juodkrantė – Rumšiškės - Vilnius

Day 1.

Arrival in Vilnius airport. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. Meeting a guide. City tour of Vilnius includes the Old Town (one of the largest and most beautiful in Central and East Europe, included into UNESCO Heritage list), Gediminas castle, Cathedral, monument for the Great Knight Gediminas, St. Anne’s Church, the Dawn Gate, Vilnius University campus and the church of St. Johns. The streets of “Užupis” republic. Free time. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2.

Tour to Trakai (28 km from Vilnius), the ancient capital of the Grand Dutchy of Lithuania – a visit of the 15^th century Trakai insular castle. Excursion around Trakai: peninsula’s castle, island’s castle – museum, the small town – Karaimai. Sailing with a ship in Galvės lake. A trip to Kaunas. Excursion around Kaunas – the second largest city in Lithuania, the capital of pre-war Lithuania: the Old Town – Kaunas castle architectural ensemble, Town Hall, Thunder house, Cathedral, Vytautas church. Overnight in the hotel in Kaunas.

Day 3.

A trip to Klaipėda. City tour of Klaipėda, the main seaport of Lithuania, includes Theatre square with statue of “Annchen von Tharau”, Old Post office, Old Town, visiting the Cock Museum. Overnight in the hotel in Klaipėda.

Day 4.

Full day tour in Kuronian Peninsula: visiting Juodkrantė for a walk on the Hill of Witches. Further driving to Nida, visit to a small Amber Gallery. Further visit to a Fisherman’s House and walk on impressive sand dunes, some up to 60 meters high. After lunch in Nida return to Klaipėda with stop in Smiltynė for visiting the maritime Museum and aquarium there. Return to Klaipėda. Free time. Overnight in the hotel in Klaipėda.

Day 5.

Departure to Vilnius, with stop in Rumšiškės. Half day in open – air museum created to show something of the Lithuania’s vibrant peasant culture over the last 200 years. The customs of different ethnic regions of Lithuania will be on display. Trip to Vilnius. Free time. Overnight in the hotel in Vilnius.

Day 6.

Departure from Vilnius.
